All these photos were taken early one morning on a cold winters day in Dec 2001 The Chinese Gardens are sometimes referred to as The Japanese Gardens
The Chinese Gardens and its building were created for Lord Leverhulme in the early years of the 20th century. They covered an extensive area of the hillside on the top of which stood his house. Parking at Hall Barn, Rivington - it is a short walk to reach these gardens. A shade of their former glorly, they are still offer a great area to walk and explore.
