In May 2005 Arnside Knott was promoted Marilyn status (Marilyn's are a list of hills which have a relative height of 150m, regardless of absolute height or other merit. The name is a pun from the Scottish Munroe's) and it is the lowest Marilyn summit in England at a little over 159 metres.

It's still early so Arnside's main street is quiet

Nearing the top of Arnside Knott, The view is great

Arnside Tower stands in ruins.

The Pepper Pot stands above Silverdale.

A lovely Pint in The Woodlands at Silverdale. A very unusual pub it is too. Quite difficult to find and does not look like a pub, more like a large Victorian house.

Sunset over Morecambe Bay

The four of us on the coast path on the way back to Arnside The Sea Grass has all been washed away from the Silverdale coastline

A small and very wet pony we came across on the Knott

Nearing Arnside and its reflection is clear to see

A quiet early evening on the main Street

Paul has a Baileys in the Albion

An eerie Arnside Station as we wait for the last train.
